Mr Mark Haines-Eynon
Chair of Governors

I have been a Governor (in different schools) for nearly 20 years and been going to primary school longer than my children’s time combined.  I joined Clive school as a parent governor just over 2 years ago and am currently Chair.  As a committed Christian I love the Ethos of this wonderful school.  When I have a day job I am an interim manager with a background in change management and I try to use the skills acquired over the years in many and various aspects of school life and development.  It is a privilege to be involved with such a committed and caring team and of course wonderful children.

Mrs Jane Thompson
Vice Chair of Governors

I have been a Governor of Clive School for 14 years and was Chair of Governors for 8 years. I am currently Vice-Chair, and also SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Link Governor.  I believe strongly that every child has the right to a first-class education, and that it is up to parents, staff, and governors to work together to ensure that each child receives the best possible teaching and learning experience at Clive School. I have a legal background which can be helpful when dealing with the many complex requirements regulating school life.

Mrs Kate Bentham
Chair of Safeguarding Committee

I am a parent Governor at Clive, and have been since being elected by parents in October 2016. I attend the full Governing Board meetings and Chair both the Safeguarding Sub Group and the Policy Sub Group. I am the Safeguarding Governor and one of the Governors with a special interest in communications, marketing and website. My day job involves working in Early Help and Safeguarding, supporting children and families in accessing the right information or service at the right time. I also deliver safeguarding training, and deliver briefings to parents on safeguarding issues. My overall aim of being a Governor is for children, parents and staff have a positive experience of their time at Clive School.

Miss Lucy Cordey
Staff Governor

I have been a teacher at Clive Primary school since 2016 and have worked with classes of children in both Key Stages. Prior to Clive I worked in a primary school in south Shropshire for six years. As a science graduate I am passionate about how science can motivate young pupils. I volunteered for the governing body as I care very much about the school; its children, staff and community. Also as an experienced full time teacher at the school, I can provide valuable links between the governing body and its influences on the day to day realities of running a school.
