Class 2 Trip to Attingham Park

Date: 20th May 2019 @ 3:55pm

Class 2 had a wonderful time on their trip to Attingham Park today. We were very lucky with the weather as the sun shone all day! We got to take part in three different activities which were: A Woodland Walk, Deer Park ride and a Beekeeper talk. During the Woodland Walk, we became "detectives" and had to hunt for clues which would tell us what type of animals/minibeasts were living there. On our Deer Park Ride we learnt lots of interesting facts about Deer. For example, every year a male deer (buck) loses their antlers and then they grow back again even bigger! The ride was a bit bumpy, but we really enjoyed it. We also got a talk from a Beekeeper who showed us an actual beehive so we could see the bees hard at work producing honey. We tried to spot the Queen bee amongst them all but it was very tricky! We found out that one hive can produce around 30 pounds of honey in a few weeks!! It was a fantastic day and Class 2 children were superb. They represented the school beautifully from start to finish and should be very proud! Well done!

Along with our three core values, Respect, Responsibility & Resilience, we will be exploring the importance of 'Courage' during Worship time.
