Today we spent time in the garden looking at the vegetable plots at the end of the season. We learned about what happens to plants when they begin to die and talked about words such as rotting and composting. We cleared away our beanstalks and sunflower stalks and found pumpkins that had hidden themselves underneath leaves. We are now waiting to dig our final potatoes for a potato feast. We made sure to leave some areas with plants and stalks so that minibeasts had places to hide over the winter. We collected beans and will store the seeds ready for next year.
