Planting Trees at Woodland School!

Date: 1st Dec 2020 @ 4:08pm

We had a very exciting afternoon at Woodland School today! Mr Simms asked us to be a part of planting some trees at our Woodland School site to create a hedge. First, we had to find some sticks that were the right length in order to measure the distance between each one. Then we dug a hole that was deep enough to plant the roots and filled the hole back up again. We had to make sure it was straight and secure in the ground before placing a rabbit guard around it to make sure no animals could have a nibble!! We all had different types of trees to plant, such as Field Maple, Dogwood and Hazel. Thank you very much to Mr Simm's for organising this for the children, we really enjoyed every minute!

This half term we will be exploring the importance of 'Generosity' during worship time
