‘Aim High’

Empathy Day

Today is Empathy Day. We started the day by listening to a story called Lubna and Pebble which is about a little girl who is a refugee. We then talked about how she must have been feeling and how we might feel if that happened to us. We thought about the sort of things we would grab and put in a bag if we had to quickly leave our home to keep safe and we drew our own Refugee Bag.

Later in the day we tried to imagine how it would feel if we could not hear very well. We put headphones on and tried to listen to Shotgun by George Ezra which we all love! We made a list of words to describe how it felt not being able to hear the song. These are our words : cross, confused, frustrated, disappointed, left out and sad.
