A great first week back at school!

What a fantastic first week we have had back at school! The children have settled in really well and having lots of fun. This week we are reading the story "Handa's Surprise" and using adjectives to describe the fruit. We are even going to taste some exotic fruits from the story! In maths Year 1 are counting  forwards and backwards within 100 and practising their number formation. Year 2 are revising over multiples of 10, counting up and down and adding and subtracting these using known facts. In Science we have been learning about the different animal groups: mammals, fish, birds, amphibians, reptiles and insects! We are going to find the continent Africa on a map and see how far it is in relation to us! Our big question in R.E this half term is "What was the good news that Christians believe Jesus brings?"
