Welcome to Badger Class, home of years 5 and 6, where we recognise the importance of balancing our academic journey with creativity, outdoor learning and sport, instilling in the children a curiosity for the world around them and a love of learning.
As the oldest pupils, the children in Badger Class are encouraged to act as ambassadors for the school and role models for the younger children at Clive. Through taking responsibility for their learning and behaviour, showing resilience when things are difficult and respect for all those around them, the children come to understand their place in the school, church and village community.
In these important last years on their primary school journey, the partnership between home and school is crucial, as it will make a positive difference to your child’s academic progress and well-being. We encourage you to support the children as the demands of their school work increase and get in touch with us if there are any problems or difficulties, academic or pastoral, as the children’s happiness and well-being is our primary concern. I will be at the gate in the evening to answer any questions that you may have and share with you all of the positive events of the day.
Myself Miss Clifflands, Miss Jones and Ms Saunders are looking forward to working with your children through the year ahead and we are excited for all the wonderful achievements they will make.
