A Medieval Banquet!

We have been learning all about Castles in our topic lessons this term and it is safe to say that the children have loved it! We found out about the different foods that people would eat in medieval times, from swan, to wild boar, to roasted Peacock! The King and Queen would throw huge banquets for important people and would eat for up to 4 hours!! So we decided we wanted to have our own Red Squirrel banquet, with dancing, party rings and squash (we didn't fancy the roasted Peacock!) We made crowns and listened to medieval music. It was fun!
