‘Aim High’

Dormouse class week beginning 21st October

Date: 18th Oct 2024 @ 4:41pm

This week we have had another great week, particularly working on our letter formation and pencil grip.

Next week, we will continue to look at our local area and begin to compare the similarities and differences between buildings. In science, we are also learning about different materials and what buildings are made from.

In phonics, Reception children are continuing to learn about their new sounds s a t p and we will be adding i n m d. We are beginning to blend these sounds together to read new words. Our reading book for this week has new words to read and we are delighted how keen all of the children are.

Nursery have a new rhyme for the week - 5 little speckled frogs. We will be focusing on alliteration of 5 frogs and will be learning how to count accurately by pointing to each frog.

Reception are continuing their work on comparing sets of objects and we will be learning about the word equal.

We hope that you have a lovely weekend and look forward to another great week.
