Dormouse class - week beginning 30.9.24

Hello everyone.

What a lovely week we have had. The highlight of which was digging potatoes and tasting them. 

Next week, we are continuing to think about families and will be comparing our family with others in class and around the world. We will be reading Picnic in the park. Using the theme of picnic, in science we will be learning about healthy food and sorting different foods. 

In maths, Reception are learning about subitising small amounts and nursery will be counting one to one. Our rhyme for next week is Incy Wincy Spider. In phonics, nursery and learning about rhyming words and Reception are talking about the book At the Park.

Next week, Reception are beginning to learn about the formation of letters, we will be begin with o and s. Word of the week is BIG and we will be comparing things that are big and not big.
