Our Easter Story Sensory Walk

We have been learning more about the Easter Story. 

We went for a walk in the woods and read the story as we walked round and we made it into a sensory story. 

We started with Palm Sunday so we felt the texture of leaves,  waved palms and cheered. Then we walked on and read about the Last Supper. We shared the biscuits we had made for this part of the story. When we got to the part where Jesus is crucified we smelt some vinegar. We also found lots of different crosses in the churchyard and on the church. The last part of the story is when Jesus' friends realise the tomb is empty and Jesus is alive! We found some very old tombs in the churchyard which looked broken.
