Week Beginning 20th January

Hello everyone. We have really enjoyed travelling to the Arctic and the Antarctic this week. We have learned about penguins and polar bears and have investigated freezing water. We made frozen bird feeders and then put them out in the woods on Thursday. The birds quickly enjoyed them. 

Next week, we are exploring Australia and finding out about weather, animals and where on the globe we will find this country.

In phonics, Nursery are continuing to work on orally segmenting and blending sounds through the story of the Little Red Hen. Reception are moving on to learning zz ch and qu sounds. We are also learning our new tricky words. he she all was are they we be my me.

In maths, Nursery are learning about one to one counting and reception are finding ways to make 5.
