Week Beginning 31st March
Date: 28th Mar 2025 @ 5:34am
It's been another great week, with lots of fantastic learning. We had a brilliant visit from our friend the nurse to talk to us about keepoing our teeth clean and healthy. Tuesday, was a very busy day because we also visited the FOCS Mothering Sunday shop to buy presents for our mums. Thanks to all who helped to make this a special time. Along with making cards, the children thought about their mums and all of the special things that they do for them.
Next week, we will be visiting Home Farm at Attingham. We are really looking forward to meeting all of the animals and having a day on the farm. Our book for the week is Farmyard Hullabaloo and we will be learning all about the animals that live in this habitat.
In phonics, Nursery are continuing work on oral blending and segmenting, particularly the names of farm animals and Reception will be going over the sounds that we have learned to write the names of farm animals.
In maths, Nursery are counting animals for the farmer in our classroom farm and reception will be learning how we count things that cannot be seen, either actions or sounds.
In the garden, we are really excited to have planted our potatoes and have been eagerly watching our broad bean seeds germinating.
Have a lovely weekend
