Christmas Journey Day

Class: Red Squirrel Class Year: 2021 - 2022

Monday was our Christmas Journey Day. We listened to and watched different versions of The Christmas Story and we sang the story to the words of We're Going on a Bear Hunt!

Then we got into groups and made stick puppets for the different characters. We created our own puppet Nativity plays and performed them for the class.

We talked about all the different characters in the story and how important each one was and why. We printed with shapes to make sheep scenes and we talked about where we would have to travel to register, like Mary and Joseph did. We investigated where we were all born. Our places of birth range from New Zealand to Scotland, York, South Shropshire, Telford and Shrewsbury!
